In 2020, at the 23rd Annual Convention of the Ontario Professional Fire Fighters Association, a resolution was made and adopted that the OPFFA obtain a permit for members to participate in the Toronto Pride Parade.  

This June, the OPFFA will join more than 200,000 marchers and 2.6 million spectators to celebrate diversity and inclusion.  
The OPFFA has obtained a permit which entitles 100 members to march in the parade on June 30, 2024, at 2pm.

In order to participate, you will need to register using the form below. 

​Availability is based on first signed up - first in - to a maximum of 100 participants.

Note: More information on where to meet will be uploaded as information is made available.

NOTE: You cannot show up without registering.  Please use the form above to register.  A list of all registrants will be made available.

The following are the details for the day of:

  • OPFFA Parade Day Contact: Zone Director Peter Dyson: pdyson@ontariofirefighters.org | Cell: 905.391.6234
  • Meeting Details:  All marchers will meet on the south south-east corner of Jarvis and Isabella in front of Casey House at 3pm.  Once we are all assembled, we will walk (approximately 5 minutes) to the marchers’ load in area located at Ted Rogers Way & Charles Street. Our parade placement will be TBD, and we start our load-in to the parade at 3:45pm.  If you are running late, text Director Dyson and arrange to meet at the load-in area by noon.
  • We will march as a group with a large OPFFA banner in front.  All marchers are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing. We recommend fatigue pants.  Union branded OPFFA or IAFF or your Local clothing is also recommended. 

​Other Parade Details:

  • Parade Start Date/Time: Sunday, June 30th at 2pm.
  • Parade Route: The official parade start is Church and Bloor
  • March Time: It is anticipated the parade will take 4 hours to march.
  • Disembarking: The parade will end near Dundas Square at Dundas and Yonge Street.
  • Bring water, snacks, sunscreen and anything that will keep you hydrated and refreshed.
  • The parade is rain or shine.
  • Water is available along the parade route. Please help yourselves. Volunteers will help to distribute.
  • Have fun!! :)
